My commitment to creativity and my identity as a self-starter have guided my professional pursuits which began with an internship with the Matty in the Morning Show, the number one morning radio program in the Boston area, as part of my co-op experience at Northeastern. Within one year, I was promoted to a full time staff person for the morning program, not only performing on-air entertainment segments but also leading marketing and promotional events for the radio station. As I achieved more success on the marketing side of radio over the course of five years working for Clear Channel and Entercom Boston, I came to better understand that my strongest professional talents particularly include the ability to formulate, start up and manage creative projects and business ideas. To that end, in 2004, I developed the business model for and officially launched my first company, Impakt Marketing Solutions, Inc. capitalizing on the expanding live event marketing industry. Over the course of five years as President of Impakt, I was able to grow the company into a successful multi-state agency with six full and part time employees managing over 300 independent contractors throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. In 2009, I decided to focus my energy on creating a new company, United Hydroponics Inc., a full service urban hydroponic rooftop greenhouse consulting, development and managing company. In support of this new venture, I established a development partnership with one of New England’s largest fruit and produce wholesalers as well as an educational partnership with Boston Latin School to develop their rooftop-learning laboratory.
I’m currently the co-founder of Freight Farms, a MassChallenge Finalist. We have created an innovative product using recycled shipping containers to create user friendly high yield modular farms that allow anyone to grow food anywhere!
